We just
bought a shiny red cleat nailer with an adjustable
foot - it can fasten every flooring thickness from
3/8" up to 3/4". Scroll down and check it out, but
don't use it just because it's pretty.
Really Useful
Rental Facts, so read this first!
- Rental charges are listed below, but we do
have some negotiating room
within these rates if you are interested in
renting something for more than three days or on
consecutive weekends. Every person who answers
the phone here is authorized to adjust price
based on circumstance, so please don't just
check these prices and then zip off to the
HomeDespot: call Pete's first -651/698-5888- and
let us find the most economical rental for your
project!
- We always help you load and
unload your rental equipment! If you are
picking up, please park at our FRONT door on
Fairview Ave. If you are returning, you're like
family, so please use our BACK door which means
you'll enter from the Selby side. Look for the
door with the cute little covered deck.
- We ADORE reservations. If you know you need
equipment for a certain day and time, we will
hold it for you at no charge (no deposit even),
just call! Yes, you can even do this a month in
advance. But, be a sport and cancel your
reservation if you can't make it.
- Our change of day happens at 4pm. So,
though we are open until 5pm, machines returned
after 4pm are bumped up to the next rate
category.
- All of our electric machines include 25 feet
of cord. If you need an extra 25 feet, we have
15 gauge, conventional extension cords available
at no extra charge - we'll just hold a deposit
until they are returned. But you have to
request one - we don't automatically include the
extra 25 feet of cord. And, if you really
love us, you'll return all cords loosely looped
- we know the 'roofer's wrap' looks tidy, but it
can kink the copper and cause cord problems for
the next renter.
- All rentals require a major credit card for
your deposit (just like when you rent a car!)
and a photo ID. When you close out your rental,
you can pay with cash, check, Visa, Mastercard,
or Discover.
If you really read all these,
ask for your free carpenter's pencil when you come
in to rent!

Special Nailer/Stapler Incentive
If you purchase your flooring through
Pete's, you get up to
TEN days of nailer rental, but only
pay for ONE!
|
The staplers and cleat
nailer described above are designed to install
unfinished hardwood flooring; if you are using them
to fasten prefinished flooring, caution must be used
to ensure that the finish is not damaged by the
tool: Test on a
sample section first.
And remember: no part of
the nailer, especially the metal of the shoe or
base, should ever be struck with the metal end of
the mallet.
Fein
Multimaster Oscillating Plunge Saw

1 of these so if you want it,
call and reserve it already.

removal of single floorboards. Very handy for
undercutting door jambs too.
Cost: $50 day or
$30 for four hours. One
shiny new blade included with every rental!
Extra blades are $16 each. This saw is incredibly
easy to use - check out the videos on the
manufacturer's website:
FEIN multimaster videos We send this out with
a couple of small, rare earth magnets that will help
you locate the hidden fasteners in the floor so you
will avoid hitting them with the saw blade.

Crain Toe-Kick Saw
We have just 1 of these so
if you want it, call and reserve it already.

jack for snugging your final boards tight when there
isn't room to use the nailer to bring your boards
together properly - prevents much cursing.

level.
Jack must be braced
against a board against the wall, but brace board
MUST SPAN TWO STUDS or the powerjack will punch a
hole in the drywall.

overtighten your boards with this (it can happen),
or they will begin to 'tent' or buckle upwards.
