If you are finishing your floor with a hardwax oil finish, use red buffer pads for the initial application.

Great for Pallmann Magic Oil or Rubio Monocoat, these red buffer pads are non-scratching and not very porous. This means they can float across your floor under a buffer without leaving any scratches in the floor, and they move the oil around efficiently without soaking it up, which keeps you from wasting product.

On large jobs, you will find that buffer pads do get glazed over with a layer of semi-hardened oil so be sure to change to a fresh pad (or a fresh side) every few hundred feet.

If you chose to just flip the pads, we recommend that you use a grippy thin maroon buffer pad against the drive plate of your buffer so that when you flip the oily side up, it doesn’t coat and ruin your drive plate.

Don’t use this pad for the removal step of hardwood oil application, it won’t absorb the excess properly. Use the white buffer pad instead.
